About the Program

The F.A.S.T. FORTY rowing programme from the McGregor F.A.S.T. (Fighter Aerobic / Anaerobic System of Training) team is a conditioning programme developed by the world's leading sports doctors and exercise physiologists in conjunction with Conor McGregor to get you in fighting fit shape fast. Originally developed for combat sports, the system has been successfully used by world class athletes from many other sports such as football, tennis and rugby to achieve peak athletic performance.

The F.A.S.T. system combines both high intensity interval type (H.I.I.T.) training and longer aerobic type workout sessions which are done at specific heart rate zones. Training in your personal heart rate zones gives you the maximum workload without letting you over train so you can recover faster for your next workout session. You will get optimal results for your time and effort.

In the F.A.S.T. FORTY programme, there are five sections of varying physiological stimulus, each with 8 workouts for you to try. Each workout has detailed descriptions, intra-workout instructions and custom post-workout feedback to maximise your training experience and effectiveness.

About the Coach
Moving fast on the rowing machine has been a preoccupation of Sam Loch for nearly 20 years. Sam's first indoor rowing experience was a 1000-meter test in 1998. He has broken the 6min mark in the 2000-meter row in thirteen of the last 14 years. The only year he didn't was in 2015 when he broke the 1000-meter open world record. When Sam is not breaking world records, training or rowing in the Olympics for his home country of Australia he is a professional coach. Sam also was on the crew team at Princeton University and rowed for Australia at two Olympic Games (2008, 2012). He won two bronze medals at the World Championships in the men's eight in 2010 and the men's four in 2011.
